About the Artist
Frederick Ingoldby (b. 1998) is an award winning Kent based visual artist.
Oil Paintings
he read fine art at Newcastle University and graduated in 2021. Here he explored oil painting, the medium he continues to Utilise in his studio. The resulting paintings explore the moral Deficiencies of modern humans, through magic realist scenes that hint at Cinematography. More recently his works have included oil pastels, providing him with a more expressive approach to mark-making.
Whitstable
Freddie grew up in Whitstable, resulting in a passion for producing seascapes based on the North Kent Coast. His landscapes are completed through scraping acrylic paint onto wooden panels using cutlery. The texture of the wood, sourced locally from the beach or repurposed from locals’ sheds and skips, enables chaotic visual noise.
